I built and currently lead a team developing experience strategy and design in the financial solutions space. Through this work and my contribution to the leadership team, I strive to operationalize design thinking and human-centered design within the enterprise.

I led teams and worked as an IC in research and interaction design. I gave 1:1 management to designers, scoped and resourced work, contributed to new business efforts and was a member of the Austin leadership team.

Experience Director

Mutual Mobile, Austin, TX (7/13-1/16)

In a true agile environment I led teams, contributed to product strategy, acted as an IC in research and interaction design, gave 1:1 management to designers and was part of the design leadership team. Additionally, I pitched new business and managed client relationships. I also worked to bring parity between design and technology within the company.

Associate Director of UX

T3, Austin, TX (4/12-7/13)  

I rebuilt and co-led the UX practice within the agency. In addition to acting as a hands on IC in terms of UX from discovery through delivery, I managed client relationships, pitched new business, and hired & managed the team. I also sat on the Austin office leadership team.

I worked as UX lead and made contributions in client management, interaction design, research and synthesis.

Senior Exhibit Designer

Shedd Aquarium, Chicago, IL (3/07-5/11)  

I designed immersive environments and service experiences in (then) the world’s largest indoor aquarium. I created prototypes and detailed drawings, offered planning, interpretive design, creative direction, conceptual and detailed design documentation and executed construction administration.
